The best way of enjoying Dill is to blanch it in hot water for few minutes till it releases its fresh aroma. For this it has to be boiled for few minutes till it changes its colour and turns dark green. I usually use the tender stem along with the leaves. For best results don’t chop the bunch, cook and eat it without cutting. This ensured the flavours remain intact. You can have this delicious snack in morning breakfast. Add black salt and freshly grounded pepper to enhance the flavor.
The mild flavor of dill tastes similar to licorice and hence it does great with mashed potatoes. Add some butter and chopped dill to the potatoes and cook it for 4 to 5 minutes till it releases the zest. You can use dill in pickles and salads, try sprinkling the freshly chopped dill on any savoury recipe and you will get a new twist to the already known recipes.
